3 TYPES OF SKIN CANCER

SKIN CANCER Skin cancer is a condition that develops after prolonged exposure to ultraviolet rays. This long-term exposure causes than the cells of the skin to grow in a fast, out of control, eventually leading to the formation of a tumor on the skin. About 60,000 people in the United Kingdom develop this State every year. There are actually three different types; Basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma malignant melanoma. (1) Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC): It is the most common form of skin cancer and represents 75% of all diagnoses. As the name suggests starts where the process of cell division is not in the basal cells of the epidermis (the outermost layer of the skin) and form a tumor. Often, this tumor resembles red sores on the skin which can expire, crust or itching and often gets the nickname of "rodent ulcer.".
